CASA DE COLORES
Casa de COLORES, our condo in Zama Gardens in Tulum, is inspired by our travels in Mexico.
We first came to the Costa Maya over 30 years ago.We stayed at a tent hotel that was a few kilometers north of a tiny fishing village, Playa del Carmen. The owner of the tents told us, "once you
get the sands of the Yucatan on your feet, you'll never get them off."
For us, it has been true -- we have returned many, many times over the years and seen lots of changes.
Tulum stil has the feeling of the Yucatan that we found on our first travels. Gorgeous beaches, a laid-back and international feeling, a major Mayan site and others yet to be discovered, and ver
y friendly people.
I'm an artist and our home has original artwork, both my work and work of friends. The colors of the walls are inspired by Mexican architecture and nature -- deep blues, turquoise, orange and pink. The private solarium, framed by a blue wall with tropical plants, is perfect for relaxing and star-gazing from the jacuzzi, or having dinner with friends under the palapa.
The spacious interior has Italian and Mexican contemporary furniture, modern kitchen, 2 bedrooms -- one king and one with two individual beds and two bathrooms, television, blu-Ray player and washer/dryer. The living room patio overlooks a beautiful tiled swimming pool in the ma
in garden.
We invite you to experience a Mexico that is luxurious, authentic, and a worldaway from the big resorts!
